Spring is in the air, birds are chirping, trees begin to bud, and our members are sharpening their squash skills. Yes, it is time once again for the Club Championships.  Let the (friendly) competitiveness begin! Any complaints should be directed towards Seeding Committee Chair, Darryl Saari.

The LSRC was represented at the 2012 Ontario Singles and Masters Open Championships by a small contingent (most players opted for the DAC tournament). Giselle Delgado played in the Womens Singles Open and lost to the #1 seed, Hollie Naughton, in the first round. She played well in the tournament and finished a very respectable 7th. Craig Hall played in the Mens Singles 60+ and managed to win the event. The Club at White Oaks put on an excellent tournament and more LSRC members are planning on enjoying their hospitality when White Oaks hosts the Canadian Singles Championships the first weekend in May.

Valentines day has just passed us by and the hint of love is still in the air, but for us LSRC members it isn't all Godiva chocolate and long stemmed roses. The lover's facade is soon to be replaced with a fierce competitive spirit as 20 teams of cupids are sharpening their arrows in preparation for the annual Valentines Day Doubles tournament.

The draws are now available online. We have a great tournament lined up for this weekend and look forward to some great doubles.
